Yeah, I am back from ~Hailstorm93's, and here's some of the stuff I've produced this time around. I did tons of studies as well, but since quite a few proved themselves incapable of reading the big red text in the first art weekend dump, I decided not to scan them.

Well, these are from Saturday and Sunday--I spent Friday evening and Saturday morning on Talulupus' commission:

And I also made Drapsstanken:

Anyway, let's start talking about what's actually in the sketchdump.

First off, Hailstorm showed me a sketch of some taurs she'd designed, which kinda inspired me to give lion-taurs a go. Not that their anatomy looks very leonine :B

Anyway! I should not design stuff like that, because I immediately started worldbuilding and now the taurs have a culture and I have some sort of story going on. Bwah! Let's just put it this way: They cut the tails off traitors, and they also mark them with some lovely scars which they dye so that you can tell the difference between a traitor and someone who's simply been wounded in war or in other ways.

The females have a powerful build, as they're the hunters. This lady here, I originally had her head in 3/4-profile, but decided a full profile would be better, and by the time I'd redrawn the head, I realised it was a bit too big, so I redrew the arms and made the torso broader, but it's still too short because I didn't want to redraw the whole lion.

Then, if you've been following my most recent polls and gone WTF, look no further for an answer. The old lady in the bottom left corner is Mrs. Fransen, and the dragons are (left to right) Juvelsnasken, Onde McOnd and Apestyggen. Hailstorm's drawing Fisketryne. I am not going to say too much about them, for various reasons.

Yes, they were created quite randomly--I'd brought NeonDragon's latest DragonArt book with me, and assigned random numbers to the various face/horn/eye/etc-tutorials, then asked Hailstorm to say a random number, and designed the dragons based on the results. Very fun.

Lastly, the faces to the right, they be three of my ingame recruits in Assassin's Creed: Revelations. I may or may not have written something about them. Anyway, topmost dude is Oleksandr (he scanned badly, his mouth looks pretty odd here) the lady's Dómna, and János returns again. I'm still playing with his features and the shape of his burns.

Apparently one of his recruits hit him with a pineapple once, that's why he doesn't like them. I spent some time researching whether it was historically possible or not. It was, Colombus brought them back to Europe in 1493, but they remained pretty exclusive for some time, so it wasn't exactly some ordinary fruit either.

Yeah, this was fun indeed. Cookies if you read it all.

Yayy, nice drawings ;) The both taur came out great and the story about the traitors sounds interesting ;) Only thing Is not right is that the female looks a bit too "masculine". For me, it's not even so much about the torso, it's rather about the face ;)
I also like the old lady, and I'm very curious about Janos, he looks to be an interesting character with an interesting story :D

Thanks a lot :D Tried to give her a bit of leonine features, and I quite like how she looks, but hey, I appreciate your opinion! The old lady is quite the character, let me tell you ;) Chances are you might see something of his (and the other recruits') story sometime this winter, if everything works out. Again, thanks :D

These are interesting to look at; I've always liked fantasy stuff like dragons and whatnot :I You seem to be really attached to them.. I mean you write stories about them and give them backgrounds; the whole "traitor" idea thing was pretty cool.
However the lion-taur in the upper middle-ish has its torso way too small. I know you said you wanted to make the woman-taurs strong, but that one looks way too buff in my opinion; maybe try making it a bit more "feminine"; its torso looks a lot like a guy's. But yeah, I know its all your design.
I really liked the dark dragon in the middle with the strange name (they all have strange names); it's a simple design but appealing. On the other hand the old lady looks completely out of place :P

Thanks so much, glad to hear it :D

Yeah, I know, and I wrote why in the description too :P Simply me redrawing her head too large, then I redrew the arms to fit, but there was no way to lengthen her torso, as that would mean redrawing the whole lion half. As her womb is not located in the humanoid half, she will not need wide hips for childbearing purposes, therefore I straightened her out a bit ;)

Thanks! Yeah, all the names are in Norwegian, so I'm not surprised that they sound strange to non-Norwegians =P Oh, but the old lady is rather important to the dragons!

Oh wow no wonder, I bet spanish names like Juan or Pablo or Martha sound strange over there too. :I OK, I don't know.
Yeah proportions can be hard to get right. I give myself like a 60% chance of getting any proportions right in any drawing. Drawing's hard, but the idea of being able to create literally anything on paper excites me :O
